Earth from Space: Iceberg giant enters the Nares Strait

The Envisat satellite has followed the movements of the huge iceberg that on August 4 last year came off the Petermann glacier in Greenland. This sequence of radar images acquired between July 31 and September 1, shows the iceberg that runs from the glacier enters the Nares Strait, the stretch of sea that connects the Arctic Ocean and the Lincoln Sea to the Bay Baffin Island.
